TOUR PROGRAMS

[FINISHED] Slow Village 2019 Special Tour: Bird Watching and Coffee Break

This mini tour program will be held only on October 13th, in conjunction with the Slow Village 2019 event. Together with a wild bird expert, you will go bird watching in Sarabetsu Country Park, the event’s venue. You can then enjoy a coffee break with premium home-roasted coffee.

Besides the commonly seen crows and tree sparrows, you can see many wild birds in the venue’s trees. You can see the birds using your camera or binoculars, and learn all about them from wild bird expert Yasuhiro Kawasaki, a member of the Wild Bird Society of Japan.

Kawasaki-san has been featured in our northern style SLOW magazine, where he regularly writes articles about wild birds in Hokkaido. The articles also include beautiful illustrations of the birds. After the bird watching, you can also enjoy home-roasted coffee provided by Hazeya Coffee.

This tour is an event-limited mini-version of the “Bird Watching and Coffee Break in Nature” in Abashiri City.
