Ogasawara Farm is an organic farm in Makubetsu Town that produces over 30 different kinds of vegetables. In this tour, you will visit the farm and experience real farm work while learning about their farming methods. Afterwards, you will enjoy a lunch made with organic vegetables in the farm’s cafe. It’s a tour that tells a unique story from farm field to table.

Ogasawara Farm is managed by Tamotsu Ogasawara, the farm’s 3rd-generation owner. He will explain all about his farm and the farm work you will try out.

After changing into work clothes, you will enter a farm field to experience farm work. The actual work you will do depends on the season and the day’s weather (photo above shows leek harvesting).

Another task you may experience is onion trimming and sorting.

After the farm work experience, you will proceed to the farm’s cafe situated beside the farm fields. The stylish cafe is managed by Ogasawara-san’s wife and daughter. Here you will enjoy a delicious and healthy meal made with the farm’s fresh vegetables.

Before the tour ends, you can get some fresh vegetables grown by the farm. The specific vegetables depends on the season and availability. You can also have the vegetables shipped to a domestic address in Japan (shipping costs charged separately).
