The Tokachi region of Hokkaido is an agricultural kingdom that is dotted with vast farm fields. In winter, these fields become huge expanses of snow, creating a wonderland of white. In this tour program, you will visit Memuro Town and ride a fat bike on a specially-made course built on a snow-covered farm field. You can also try riding a real tractor on the snow. For lunch, you can enjoy a cheese fondue that includes locally-produced bread and vegetables. It’s a fun and delicious winter activity that can only be done in a farm.

After arriving at the farm and a listening to a short orientation, you will ride a fat bike along a specially-built cycling course on a vast field of snow. You can freely follow a long 1-kilometer course or a short 500-meter course around the field. The fat bike may feel heavy but you’ll be surprised at how thrilling the ride can be. 
Note: You must be at least 155 cm/5’1″ tall and weigh less than 80 kg/176 lbs for the fat bike activity.

After the exhilarating fat bike ride, you will experience riding a real farm tractor on the snow field. Feel the power of the tractor as you plow through the snow, and enjoy the view of the surrounding winter scenery.

The fun activities in the snow is sure to make you hungry, so it’s time to enjoy a warm and sumptuous lunch featuring a cheese fondue with locally-produced bread and vegetables. As an optional extra, you can also try some fine wine produced the Memuro Winery. It’s a meal that lets you savor the terroir of Tokachi while interacting with the local farmers.

For transportation between Furano and Tokachi, you will use the North Liner transit bus pictured above (operated by Dohoku Bus).
