On a fine September day, we held the “Arigatou Farm Tour and Cheesemaking Experience” tour together with five tour participants. We first visited the Shiawase Cheese Factory in Ashoro Town, where the participants learned about cheesemaking and tasted 2 kinds of cheese. They then tried making mozzarella cheese, enjoying its fresh, natural taste. Afterwards, they visited the vast pastures of Arigatou Farm, where they met the free-roaming cows and helped the staff herd them into the milking parlor. It was a truly fun and educational tour in a rare free-range dairy farm in Hokkaido.
